Supplement to Skywalk Safety Notification - faulty tape from 28.3.11
By now, almost all of the affected gliders have been inspected by skywalk and repaired, if necessary. Thank you to the flight schools and pilots for your cooperation
In order to eliminate any risk, we are extending the model inspection to models produced in the adjacent production lot.
Models with the following serial numbers must be inspected before the next flight. The inspection may only be carried out by skywalk (applies to Germany, Austria and Switzerland) or authorized skywalk importers.
For this purpose, skywalk will initiate contact with pilots of the affected models, in order to organise the return of the model.
Naturally, skywalk will assume the transport costs for shipping and return transport, as well as the cost of the inspection, and obviously for the repair cost, if required. Serial numbers (check only the final 5- or 6-digit number) of these models delivered within Germany, Austria and Switzerland:
