Finsterwalder Paralock 3
Finsterwalder has published a further safety notice for the “Paralock 3” paraglider carabiner. Following another incident with the Paralock 3 from Finsterwalder in Spain (unintentional opening), the safety notice dated 22.11.2024 is being supplemented.Safety measure, restriction of the use of the Paralock 3Two-seater flights with passengers who have a license for paragliding pilots may continue to be carried out with the Paralock 3. Training flights to acquire the passenger pilot`s license and two-seater flights with passengers who do not have a paragliding pilot`s license may no longer be carried out with the Paralock 3. This safety measure comes into force with immediate effect. It is limited in time until the Paralock 3 has been retrofitted by the manufacturer as part of an ordered inspection (§ 14 LuftGerPV). The manufacturer will provide information on its website as to when the retrofit can be carried out.
