| Gin Gliders has issued a safety notice regarding the Genie Race 5 harness.
The reason is a potential problem with the deployment of the reserve parachute. This is a high-priority safety issue. The affected harnesses must be inspected before the next flight.
In some cases, a seam on the reserve handle may loosen or come apart. If this happens, the cord could slip and become caught around the safety pin when the reserve handle is pulled.
